Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you provide therapy services?

Family Milestones Psychology offers both virtual and in-home individual and dyadic therapy options to individuals and families living in Fort Collins area, Timnath, and Loveland. Contact me to learn if your location is eligible for in-home services.

why choose in-home therapy?

The perinatal and early childhood period has enough challenges. I aim to make perinatal and infant mental health services more accessible and flexible by coming to you. Meeting in the comfort of your home, either by video or in person, can reduce barriers, ease transitions, and help everyone feel more relaxed. Especially for young children, being in a familiar environment can make therapy feel safer and more effective.

How Long are therapy sessions?

Individual and dyadic (parent-child) sessions are 50 minutes. Group sessions are 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the group.

How Many therapy sessions will i need?

This depends on you or your child’s specific needs, goals, and the therapy model used. This will be discussed and agreed upon by you and the therapist after the assessment period is complete and will remain an ongoing discussion as you or your child make progress in therapy. Group therapy is time limited and typically ranges between 8-12 weeks.

What insurances do you accept?

Family Milestones Psychology is out of network with all insurances at this time. At your request, I can provide you with a superbill with the dates of service, service codes, diagnostic information, and proof of payment for you to submit to your insurance. Reimbursement is not guaranteed by Family Milestones Psychology.

how do i make payments?

Family Milestones Psychology accepts automated clearing house, credit cards, and HSA/flex account. For individual and dyadic therapy, payment is processed at the time of service. For group therapy, payment is due at the start of the services.

What are the service fees?

Thereapy prices can be discussed during the initial consultation. They are determined based on the length of the individual or dyadic sessions and the travel time. In the case of group therapy, they are determined based on the length and number of sessions. Once a therapy model is agreed upon, I can provide a good faith estimate for the cost of services.
